Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is hiring a Medication Technician to support resident care by accurately administering daily medications per physician orders and following the Six Rights of medication administration. You will work with clinical leadership to ensure safe care and supervise team members as needed.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, upholding the Bickford Mission across shifts, and promoting resident dignity while enabling them to live their life to the fullest.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience caring for seniors.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to learn and utilize Bickford’s eMAR system.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are administered per physician orders.
• Adhere to the Six Rights of medication administration and Bickford policies and procedures.
• Use the eMAR system effectively for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for guidance on resident medication administration and care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as needed on shift.
• Lead by example in upholding the Bickford Mission “Whatever it Takes.” on shift.
