Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with clinical documentation. The role includes observing visits, documenting encounters in structured notes, and assisting with coding and after-visit summaries.

Ideal candidates have strong listening and communication skills, are computer-literate, and may speak additional languages common in the communities served. This is a full-time in-clinic position with a focus on accurate documentation and team-based care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications (required).
• Prior clinical experience, including shadowing/volunteering (strongly preferred).
• Prior scribe or transcription experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters in a structured note with history, assessment, plan, and exam.
• Assist with CPT and ICD-10 coding and after-visit summaries.
• Provide administrative support to the provider and care team.
