Texas Oncology is seeking a Scheduler for our San Antonio clinic. This full-time role supports front-office operations, answers calls, schedules patients and tests, and coordinates with medical staff to ensure timely care.

The Scheduler also handles insurance authorizations, collects co-pays, and maintains accurate documentation in the EMR system. The position requires strong communication, basic medical terminology knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Entry level; 0–3 years preferred in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Aufgaben

• Answer all incoming calls and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Schedule new and returning patients; manage referrals and cancellations.
• Enter insurance authorizations and referrals in EMR.
• Collect co-pays and other payments at visit.
• Maintain scheduling templates and coordinate with clinic staff.
• Arrange for financial counseling as needed.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow front-office policies.
• May schedule outpatient tests, surgeries, and pre-certification.
• Communicate about surgeries or tests and prepare patient information.
