Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Scheduler for the Webster, Texas location. This full-time role supports scheduling patient appointments and related tests, serving as a liaison between patients and medical staff.

The position may be Level I, II, or Senior depending on experience and qualifications. The Scheduler will manage phone inquiries, set up new and referred patients in the EMR, and ensure accurate coordination with physicians and office staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules new, referred, and returning patients in the EMR system.
• Obtains and communicates messages accurately and timely.
• Cancels/reschedules appointments as needed per physician schedule.
• Handles insurance authorizations and referrals documentation in patient charts.
