Medical Research Tech III - Bioinformatics Tech
Employees in this classification provide support in an assignedresearch laboratory conducting specified phases of researchprojects and assist the P.I. in maintaining a supportive andcollegial working environment that fosters exchange of ideas andenhances scientific progress. You will perform work independentlyand are responsible for developing new procedures and techniques tobe utilized in the laboratory and in experiments, and newapplications for standard procedures and techniques. Work isperformed under usual laboratory conditions. Some hazards may bepresent due to use of radioactive, carcinogenic or otherpotentially harmful substances. Responsibilities also includeensuring overall cleanliness of the laboratory and laboratoryequipment, and ordering and maintaining an adequate stock ofnecessary supplies. May instruct or direct work of subordinatelaboratory personnel.
