Job summary

HSC Post Doctoral Research Associate
Position Description

Performs specialized post-doctoral work in the planning, conductingand/or supervision of original research. Responsible forparticipating in a research project associated with Ph.D. studiesand the interpretation of the results of publication. Work isperformed under supervision of graduate faculty members withevaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives andoverall effectiveness of the project. May supervise research andstudent assistants.

  • Maintain a full logistics system for lab supplies with grantor,state, and TTUHSC policies and regulations

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., D.Sc., M.D.) in area ofproject specialization.

Knowledge of modern research practices, the methods, resources, andstandards thereof. Ability to organize work effectively,conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independentjudgment based on an understanding of organizational policies andactivities. Ability to integrate resources, policies, andinformation for the determination of procedures, solutions andother outcomes. Ability to establish and maintain effective workrelationships with other employees and the public. Ability to planand allocate the workload of employees, providing direct trainingand supervision as needed.

In accordance with Texas Executive Order GA-48 and applicable stateor federal law, this position may involve access to, work on, orconduct research involving critical infrastructure. It will requirebackground checks, including, but not limited to, criminal historyand other security-related screenings. Employment is contingentupon the successful completion of these checks.
