Job summary

Summit Medical Group in Farragut, TN is seeking a Phone Operator to answer inbound calls in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with responsibilities including scheduling appointments and directing calls to the appropriate extensions.

You will work with physicians, patients and staff, maintain patient confidentiality, and use MS Office, Outlook and the EHR system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience answering phones and scheduling appointments in a medical office/clinic.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, computer skills, MS Office, Outlook, and EHR.
• Ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate areas/extensions.
• Schedule patient appointments using established procedures.
• Record messages accurately and prompt for necessary information.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
• Update telephone directory and ensure accurate extension listings.
• Assist with general office tasks as needed and attend meetings.
