Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking an Office Coordinator to supervise specified office areas in collaboration with the Practice Manager, ensuring friendly, efficient patient service and smooth operation.

This role involves coordinating care between patients and providers, supporting quality improvement and disease management programs, recruiting and coaching staff, and maintaining scheduling and attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with management-related coursework preferred.
• Credentialed Medical Assistant training not required but favorable as per role.
• 3–5 years in a medical office with supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
• Manage complex patient reception/medical records or insurance issues.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance patient experience.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of staff.
• Maintain scheduling and time/attendance for staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and recommend promotions or disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate care and act as liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
