Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a Clinical Coordinator to support Medical Assistants in delivering exceptional patient care. You will oversee MA staff and office operations with Nursing Leadership and the Practice Manager.

The role prioritizes efficient patient flow, staff development, and achievement of operational goals while maintaining high-quality care and patient education. Full-time Day shift position in Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with coursework in management/supervision.
• Possess accredited MA program and MA externship; EMT/Paramedic/ATC credentials preferred.
• Valid CPR certification and MA credentials (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC).

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of MA staff.
• Maintain scheduling, time and attendance for the MA staff.
• Evaluate MA staff performance and recommend promotions/discipline.
• Fill in as Medical Assistant when needed.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
