Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan seeks an Office Coordinator to oversee specified office areas in collaboration with the Practice Manager, ensuring friendly, efficient patient flow and high-quality care. The role involves supervising daily operations, coordinating care between patients and providers, and supporting staff development.

Qualifications include 3–5 years in a medical office with supervisory experience, and CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA CMAC-type credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with applicable college coursework or seminars in management/supervision.
• Prefer associate or bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Management, Healthcare Administration).
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Medical Office with receptionist or cross-trained Medical Assisting duties; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
• Manage complex patient reception/medical records problems or insurance issues.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of staff.
• Maintain scheduling, time and attendance for staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and recommend promotions or disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate care and act as liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
