Job summary

Woodlawn - Peds is seeking a Medical Office Clerical Float to provide front desk support across multiple Woodlawn Medical Professional Offices. You’ll greet patients, register, schedule, verify insurance, and handle medical records with accuracy and professionalism.

This role requires excellent communication, multitasking, and Computer entry skills; prior medical office experience is preferred but not required. Day shift, full-time, with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and pleasant phone technique when handling patients, guests, and other medical providers.
• Computer aptitude for data entry and daily system operations.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a medical office, hospital or long-term care facility strongly preferred, but not required.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Math aptitude sufficient to balance and handle cash.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments according to specified guidelines.
• Performs office opening procedures and closing procedures independently as scheduled.
• Greet patients and guests professionally and respond to questions or requests.
• Obtain complete patient demographic and insurance information for entry and check-in.
• Answer telephone calls promptly and direct as needed.
• Sort incoming mail and faxes and distribute accordingly.
• Scan health information into the EHR and route to the correct patient charts.
• Handle cash, balance daily charges, and make daily deposits.
