Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist - Float to support our Dayton, OH Market outpatient physical therapy center. The role handles front desk responsibilities and patient interactions, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process while coordinating with payers and providers.

The position requires excellent customer service, scheduling skills, and familiarity with insurance verifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year front desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visit expectations and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Communicate with attorneys' offices, insurance companies, translation services, market leaders, and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Overview

Position: Patient Service Specialist - Float

Location: Dayton, OH Market

Type of Employment: Full-time

Schedule: Monday - Friday (hours vary/some evenings till 7pm)

Compensation: $18.00/hour

As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and the business side of our center. • Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• Healthcare experience
