Job summary

Select Medical's Dayton-area outpatient physical therapy center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist - Float to greet, register patients, schedule appointments, process co-pays, and coordinate with insurers and attorneys as needed.

You will contribute to a welcoming first impression and smooth front-desk operations, with a Monday–Friday schedule (some evenings) and a $18.00/hour base pay plus full benefits for 32+ hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Front Desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, provide information about visits and future appointments.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys' offices, insurance companies, translation services, market leaders, and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and perform insurance authorizations and verifications.

• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• Healthcare experience
