Job summary

Select Medical in Washington, NC is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, and coordinate appointments at the outpatient physical therapy center. You will handle patient check-out, scheduling, and multi-party communications to support smooth operations.

The role requires health care experience and strong attention to detail for insurance verifications, co-pays, and authorizations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Health Care Experience.
• 3 Years of Medical Office Experience.
• Insurance Verification Experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about the visit and next appointment at checkout.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys' offices, insurance companies, translation services, market leaders, and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and perform insurance authorizations and verifications.

Type of Employment: Fulltime

Schedule: Weekdays - 8am to 5pm

Compensation: Starting at $16/hour (pending experience)

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out

Minimum Qualifications
