Job summary

Select Medical's Alexandria outpatient physical therapy center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet and register patients, explain visit flow, and collect co-pays.

You will schedule appointments, liaise with attorneys, insurance and translation companies, and verify insurance; qualifications include a high school diploma and insurance verification experience; 1 year of medical office experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Insurance Verification Experience required.
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Communicate with attorneys, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders and the business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Type of Employment: Full time

Schedule: Weekdays (7am to 3:30pm)

Compensation: $19-$20/hour - (Pending experience)
