Job summary

Talentify in Washington, NC is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to welcome patients, register them, and coordinate front-desk operations in our outpatient physical therapy center. You will schedule appointments, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and communicate with attorneys, insurers, and the clinical team to keep processes smooth.

Qualifications

• Health care experience preferred in a front-desk/office setting.
• Experience coordinating schedules, registrations, and patient intake.
• Familiarity with patient communication and billing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; provide information about visits and upcoming appointments.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Communicate with attorneys, insurers, translation services, and internal teams to support operations.
• Collect co-pays, obtain payer approvals, and conduct insurance verifications.

Schedule: Weekdays - 8am to 5pm

Compensation: Starting at $16/hour (pending experience)

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Health Care Experience
• 3 Years of Medical Office Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Insurance Verification Experience
