Job summary

Select Medical in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk duties, schedule appointments, and coordinate with payers and providers. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with evenings a couple of times per week and a hourly compensation ranging from $18.00 to $21.00 based on experience.

As the first point of contact for patients entering our outpatient physical therapy center, you will greet patients, register them, collect co-pays, and help

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience.
• 1 Year Front Desk experience (preferred).
• Healthcare experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with attorney offices, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
