Job summary

Select Medical in Crystal Lake, IL is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, and manage front-desk operations at our outpatient physical therapy center. You will handle scheduling, insurance-related tasks, and patient communications, ensuring a smooth visit from check-in to checkout.

Full-time role with a Monday–Friday schedule (evenings until 6:15pm twice weekly); compensation of $20.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum: 1 year Front Desk experience.
• Minimum: 1 year Medical Office Experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide visit-related information.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Communicate with attorneys, insurers, translation services, market leaders, and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and perform insurance authorizations and verifications.

Schedule:Monday - Friday (hours vary/ 2 evenings until 6:15pm per week)

Compensation:$20.00 - $22.00/hour (pending experience)

• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
