Job summary

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk operations at our Newton, KS outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, schedule visits, and ensure a smooth patient flow from arrival through checkout.

Qualifications

Position: Patient Service Specialist

Location: 1400 S Kansas Ave Newton, KS

Type of Employment: Full-time

Schedule: Weedays, Monday through Friday

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00/hour - based on experience

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• Healthcare experience
