Job summary

Select Medical in New Port Richey, FL is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk operations at our outpatient physical therapy center. This role involves greeting patients, scheduling visits, and supporting both the patient and business sides of the center.

You will collect co-pays, verify insurance, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth care experience for every patient. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Insurance verification experience is required.
• At least 1 year of front desk experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Communicate with attorneys offices, insurance companies, translation services, market operational leaders, and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Position: Patient Service Specialist

Location: New Port Richey, FL

Type of Employment: Full-time

Schedule: Monday/Wednesday (8am to 7pm), Tuesday (8am to 12pm), & Thursday/Friday (8am to 5pm)

Compensation: $17.00-$18.00/hour (pending experience)

As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and the business side of our center. • Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Insurance Verification Experience
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
• Previous therapy experience
• Bilingual
