Job summary

Select Medical in Tampa, FL is hiring a Patient Service Specialist to be the welcoming front desk presence at our outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, register them, explain visit steps, and help schedule appointments while balancing the business side of the center.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and experience with insurance verification; bilingual candidates are a plus.

Location: Tampa, FL (Armenia Ave)

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule:Monday - Friday, (Varies)

Compensation:$16.00-$20.00/hour (pending experience)

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Insurance Verification Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
• Previous therapy experience
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience
• Bilingual
