Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for our Sterling, Alaska outpatient center. This part-time role focuses on welcoming patients at the front desk, registering them, and guiding them through the visit experience.

You will handle scheduling, payment processing, insurance verifications, and coordination with clinicians and external partners. Weekday afternoons (2pm–6pm) Monday through Friday, with compensation between $19 and $21 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Front desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visits.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Communicate with attorneys, insurance companies, translation services, market leaders, and internal teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance verifications.

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday (2pm - 6pm)

Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00/hour

When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy centers, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and the business side of our center. Don’t underestimate the impact you can make on every patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• Healthcare experience
