Job summary

ENT Specialists of North Florida & Meier Plastic Surgery in St. Johns, FL, is seeking a professional Medical Front Office Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients.

You will handle check-in/check-out, scheduling, payments, and insurance verification in a fast-paced medical office. The ideal candidate has strong customer service, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year EMR experience preferred.
• Experience with insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations preferred.
• Front desk/medical receptionist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out patients accurately.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
• Answer phones and assist patients with questions.
• Collect copays and payments per office policies.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
