• Answers the telephone in a courteous manner following department script and standards.
• Demonstrates consistent customer service excellence and acts as a liaison to patients and families.
• Distributes history forms, prepares paperwork for procedures, and directs questions to clinical staff.
• Registers patients in EPIC, maintains confidentiality, and collects required demographic information.
• Verifies active insurance and obtains proper authorization prior to registration; informs patient about privacy and billing.
• Operates office equipment and communicates with pre-cert department regarding upcoming appointments.
• Maintains professional conduct with colleagues and contributes to a cooperative team environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
