Mercyhealth is seeking a patient-focused receptionist to serve as the first point of contact in a fast-paced health system. You will answer phones, greet visitors, schedule appointments, and guide patients through Epic-based registration and MyChart enrollment, while protecting privacy and ensuring accurate records.

Responsibilities include processing payments, posting in Epic, verifying insurance, and maintaining a welcoming lobby.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous medical reception or reception experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Epic preferred.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of keyboard skills and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, forward to appropriate personnel, and route Epic messages.
• Retrieve messages from voicemail and forward to staff.
• Provide information about the organization, physicians, and services.
• Greet on-site visitors and manage access.
• Monitor visitor access and issue passes.
• Process mail and maintain publications.
• Manage office supplies and equipment.
• Assist with MyChart signup/activation and MyChart messages.
