Job summary

Mercyhealth, serving northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, is hiring a Receptionist to be the friendly first contact for patients and visitors. You will answer phones, greet guests, assist with Epic registration, collect co-pays, and support daily clerical duties in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role is full-time with a 7:30 am – 4:00 pm shift, four days per week. Prior medical reception experience and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous medical reception or reception experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Epic and medical terminology preferred.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming telephone calls, determines caller purpose, and forwards to appropriate personnel.
• Welcomes on-site visitors and announces visitors to staff.
• Performs cashiering, online payments, and daily cash handling in Epic.
• Maintains fax machines, mail, and office supplies; supports daily clerical tasks.
