Job summary

BD is seeking a field-based Sales Representative in New Jersey to drive growth in assigned accounts and develop new business. You will provide on-site clinical support, educate physicians and hospital staff on BD products, and work to meet territory goals while managing profitability.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of sales (medical experience preferred), strong communication and planning skills, and travel up to 60% including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 3 years of general sales experience, medical sales preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills.
• Understanding of needs/analysis in sales.
• Familiarity with contract administration.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet auto safety standards.
• Travel willingness: 60%+ including overnight travel.
• Familiarity with medical and surgical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Attain sales goals within the designated territory and budget.
• Grow sales of current accounts and establish new accounts.
• Provide on-site technical support during procedures for correct product use.
• Train and educate physicians and hospital staff on BD products.
• Meet territory sales and profitability goals.
• Develop new prospects and establish customers.
• Advise customers on product offerings, pricing, and forecasts.
• Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and satisfactorily.
• Attend customer meetings and tradeshows to position Davol products as the standard for bids.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
