Job summary

Lincare is seeking a CPAP/RAD technician to set up CPAPs and other DME devices, manage supplies, and assure patient safety in Michigan. You will perform equipment setups, complete required documentation, train patients on safe usage, and maintain equipment cleanliness.

Responsibilities also include on-site compliance monitoring, handling patient supply requests with insurance verification, participating in on-call duties, and adhering to company safety policies, including OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs CPAP/RAD setups in a timely and professional manner
• May also perform setup of oxygen equipment and other DME in patients' homes as well
• Completes required documentation and trains patient on the safe and proper use of equipment
• Cleans returned rental equipment per policies and maintains warehouse/storage area
• Monitors CPAP/RAD Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients
• Handles patient requests for CPAP/RAD supplies including insurance verification and shipping
• Monitors mdINR Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients
• Manages the center's oximetry process
• Follows Safety & Regulatory policies including OSHA and Emergency Planning
• Participates in on-call responsibilities for the center
• Represents the company with professional appearance and patient care activities
• May backup other employees during vacation or illness
• Requires use of personal vehicle and a valid driver's license

Job description

This employee will set up CPAPs, Respiratory Assist Devices (RADs), maintain CPAP/RAD Compliance, manage CPAP/RAD supplies/inquiries/orders, call mdINR missed appointments, manage Oximetry process, and complete all other tasks assigned/related to the functionality of the center.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs CPAP/RAD setups in a timely and professional manner
  • May also perform setup of oxygen equipment and other DME in patients' homes as well
  • This includes completion of all required documentation, instructs patient on the safe and proper use of equipment
• Cleans rental equipment when returned to the center, in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse/storage area
• Monitors CPAP/RAD Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients
• Receives and responds to patient requests for CPAP/RAD supplies, including insurance verification, confirmation of the specific supplies needed, and arranging for them to be shipped to the patient
• Monitors mdINR Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients
• Manage the center's oximetry process
• Follows applicable policies and procedures of the company, including those in the Safety & Regulatory Manual including but not limited to General Safety, OSHA, and Emergency Planning
• Responsible for participating in on-call responsibilities for the center
  • The frequency of participation will depend on the size of the center and the number of employees sharing the responsibility
• Represents the company through professional personal appearance, patient care activities
• May serve as a backup to other employees for vacation, illness, or other periods of absenteeism
• Requires use of personal vehicle and a valid driver's license
