Job summary

Lincare in Yakima, WA, is seeking a center-based Respiratory Equipment Technician to perform CPAP/RAD setups, maintain compliance, manage supplies, and support patient care.

You will handle oxygen equipment setup, documentation, insurance verification, on-call coverage, and uphold Safety & Regulatory policies; a valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in DME is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs CPAP/RAD setups in a timely and professional manner.
• May also perform setup of oxygen equipment and other DME in patients' homes.
• Instructs patient on the safe and proper use of equipment.
• Cleans rental equipment when returned and maintains warehouse organization.
• Monitors CPAP/RAD Compliance and follows up with non-compliant patients.
• Handles patient requests for CPAP/RAD supplies, including insurance verification and shipping.
• Monitors mdINR Compliance and follows up with non-compliant patients.
• Manages the center's oximetry process.
• Adheres to Safety & Regulatory policies including OSHA and Emergency Planning.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities; frequency depends on center size.
• Represents the company through professional appearance and patient care.
• May back up colleagues during vacations or absences.
• Requires use of a personal vehicle and a valid driver's license.

Job description

This employee will set up CPAPs, Respiratory Assist Devices (RADs), maintain CPAP/RAD Compliance, manage CPAP/RAD supplies/inquiries/orders, call mdINR missed appointments, manage Oximetry process, and complete all other tasks assigned/related to the functionality of the center.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs CPAP/RAD setups in a timely and professional manner
  • May also perform setup of oxygen equipment and other DME in patients' homes as well
  • This includes completion of all required documentation, instructs patient on the safe and proper use of equipment
• Cleans rental equipment when returned to the center, in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse/storage area
• Monitors CPAP/RAD Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients
• Receives and responds to patient requests for CPAP/RAD supplies, including insurance verification, confirmation of the specific supplies needed, and arranging for them to be shipped to the patient
• Monitors mdINR Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients
• Manage the center's oximetry process
• Follows applicable policies and procedures of the company, including those in the Safety & Regulatory Manual including but not limited to General Safety, OSHA, and Emergency Planning
• Responsible for participating in on-call responsibilities for the center
  • The frequency of participation will depend on the size of the center and the number of employees sharing the responsibility
• Represents the company through professional personal appearance, patient care activities
• May serve as a backup to other employees for vacation, illness, or other periods of absenteeism
• Requires use of personal vehicle and a valid driver's license
• Offering $17.13 - $23.00 per hour
