Job summary

BD seeks a remote field-based technician to support Pyxis automated dispensing systems in healthcare facilities. The role requires travel to customer sites within an assigned territory, with a company vehicle provided.

The successful candidate will diagnose hardware and software issues, perform installations and preventive maintenance, and document activities while maintaining strong customer service and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 3-5 years of combined hardware, software, and IT support experience with both proprietary and standard applications.
• 24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment.
• Experience with computer electronics, Windows OS, and networking.
• CompTIA A+ Certification.
• Medical device or electromechanical device service/repair experience.
• Customer Support Certification.
• Valid driver’s license meeting BD’s auto safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems.
• Diagnose, service, and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Perform installations, repairs, calibrations, and provide sales support.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and inventory.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Manage company assets (vehicle, tools, inventory) responsibly.
