Allegheny Health Network is seeking a coding professional to perform thorough medical record review and accurate ICD-10 CM/CPT coding. The role includes data abstraction, assisting with unbilled coding reports, and staying current with coding guideline updates.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, coding coursework, and experience with hospital or physician coding. Certifications such as RHIT/RHIA/CCS-P/CPC/COC/CPC-A are preferred, with an associate degree in Health Information

Competenze

High School/GED
Completion of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology coding courses
1 year hospital/physician coding
1 year coding at mid-level facilities or clinics
1 year coding major surgeries, observations or E/Ms
Medical Terminology
Strong data entry skills
Understanding of computer applications
Ability to work with health care team
RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P, CPC, COC or CPC-A certification options
Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field

Mansioni

Reviews and interprets medical information to determine ICD-10 CM/CPT codes.
Abstracts data elements to satisfy statistical requests and enters data into systems.
Manages unbilled coding reports to support cash flow.
Keeps updated on ICD-10 CM/CPT guidelines and applies changes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
