Job summary

CentraCare Health is seeking a Medical Customer Service and Collections Assistant to act as the first point of contact for patient billing inquiries and to help patients understand billing statements for timely balance resolutions.

You will coordinate with the business office and payors, prioritize tasks, and apply strong written and verbal communication to resolve accounts in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent communication, listening and negotiating skills and customer relations principles.
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Bi-lingual Spanish or Somali a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for all patient billing inquiries.
• Assist patients in understanding billing statements to ensure swift resolution of outstanding balances.
• Liaise between patient, business office and payors for all billing matters related to account resolution.
• Support conflict resolution and high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.
