Job summary

Premier Health Partners is seeking a Patient Accounts Associate to support billing and collections for third-party claims under supervision of the Patient Financial Services Supervisor.

You will post transactions, verify self-pay liability, discuss accounts with patients and external parties, and determine whether accounts should be referred to external collections; knowledge of clinical trial billing when applicable; strong accuracy and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School completion or GED is required.
• 1-3 years of job-related experience preferred.
• Two years of healthcare billing, collections, or access experience or banking collections experience; an associate’s degree can substitute for the two years.
• MS Office (Word and Excel) experience required; basic accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Billing and collection of third-party claims.
• Posting of billing and collection transactions.
• Ensure self-pay liability up to final disposition.
• Discuss accounts with patients and third parties.
• Determine referral status for external collections.
• Ensure charges related to clinical trial research are billed when applicable.
