Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant in Naperville, IL to join our care team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care, functioning as both a Medical Receptionist and performing clinical MA duties to support a seamless patient experience.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience, MA program completion, CPR/BLS certification, and may involve phlebotomy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred or required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review patient information and gather updated health data for provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Coordinate with care team to develop patient plan and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Document data in medical records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate findings to patients.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
