Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and create an exceptional guest experience. The role spans front-d desk duties and clinical support as part of our care team.

Qualifications include at least 1 year as a Medical Assistant, formal MA training, and CPR/BLS certification. Phlebotomy experience is a plus, and state certifications may be required for employment in

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Reviews previous medical information and gathers updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations per orders from the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and coordination of care.
• Records data in the medical record according to guidelines.
• Processes test results and communicates results to patients.
• Participates in outreach to patients to improve engagement.
