Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA partner with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care, acting as both receptionist and clinical support in a combined role.

Responsibilities include vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, patient flow management, and coordinating tests with labs. Strong communication and documentation in the EHR are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MA experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• MA certification or registration required where mandated.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and coordination.
• Document data in the medical record per guidelines.
• Process test results and inform patients as directed.
