Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team in Indiana. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and an exceptional guest experience, acting as both Medical Receptionist and clinical support.

The role requires clinic experience, MA certification or registration where applicable, CPR/BLS, and the ability to manage a full spectrum of patient care tasks, from vitals to injections.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Reviews prior medical information and gathers updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, assist with procedures; coordinate with labs for additional tests.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations as ordered by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests, referrals, and other clinic coordination.
• Record data accurately in the medical record per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients.
• Participates in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment.
