Job summary

Marathon Health is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Indiana. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience.

The role combines front-d desk duties with clinical responsibilities to support the full patient journey. Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with procedures, administering medications as ordered, and collaborating with the care team to create personalized care

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Records accurate and pertinent data in the medical record according to documentation guidelines.
• Front desk duties, including scheduling, medical record requests and abstraction, documentation, referrals, and other care coordination.
• Coordinates with care team to develop patient plan of care and address gaps in care.
• Process test results and provide timely results to patients as directed by the Provider.
