Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Indianapolis. The MA will support a primary care physician, perform both reception and clinical tasks, and ensure a high-quality patient experience in our clinic.

Responsibilities include vitals, injections, phlebotomy, medication administration, documentation, and care coordination with the broader team. Prior MA certification and CPR/BLS are required at start date.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at the start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review and update medical information to inform the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, dress wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications/immunizations under the provider's order.
• Collaborate with care team to develop patient-care plans and address gaps.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and care coordination.
• Document data accurately in medical records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
