Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Indiana. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver quality patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience, handling both clinical tasks and front-desk responsibilities.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of MA experience, formal MA training, CPR/BLS certification, and preferred MA certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are stocked and cleaned.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per order.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.

Education

Medical Assistant program completion

CPR/BLS certification

MA certification/registration (preferred)

Strong patient communication
