Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in a primary care environment. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and an exceptional guest experience, serving as both a Medical Receptionist and clinical support.

Responsibilities include vitals, injections, phlebotomy, lab coordination, and front-desk duties to support care delivery. Certification and CPR/BLS are required; a formal MA program is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections and assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests and coordinate with providers.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical records requests, and referrals.

Skills

Medical Assistant experience

CPR/BLS certification

Phlebotomy experience

MA certification preferred

Education
