Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience, serving as both a Medical Receptionist and performing clinical tasks.

You will take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, assist with procedures, and support patient care across the full spectrum of the visit. A formal MA program graduate with CPR/BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred. MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred

Responsabilités

• Escorts patients to room and ensures that exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administers approved medications and immunizations per order from the Provider.
• Front desk duties, including scheduling, medical record requests and abstraction, documentation, referrals, and other care outside the clinic.
• Records data in the medical record according to guidelines and coordinates with the care team to address gaps in care.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients as directed by the Provider.
