Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers by gathering patient information, performing routine screenings, vital signs, and rooming patients. You will work closely with care teams to ensure an efficient patient flow and high-quality care in our clinics.

This role requires MA certification or completion of an accredited MA program, at least 1 year of MA experience, CPR/BLS, EMR proficiency, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certification as MA and completion of an accredited MA program.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a medical assistant.
• CPR or BLS Certification.
• Electronic Medical Record experience.
• Proficient computer skills: Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel/Google Sheets.
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an efficient patient flow.
• Room patients in a timely manner and perform vital signs.
• Stock exam rooms and inventory supplies.
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support.
• Administer vaccines and point-of-care tests as allowed by state regulations.
• Import documents into EMR and support care teams.
