Atrius Health in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with routine procedures and patient flow. You will prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, and ensure the EMR is up to date with recent results and visits.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and a Medical Assistant Certification, with ACLS/BLS beneficial. Clinical or customer service experience is preferred, and multiple locations may be involved in duties.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of medical assistant certification program preferred.
• ACLS may be required based on department specialty.
• Current BLS or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in clinical or customer service setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of reagent stability and storage and EMR experience helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Provides efficient flow of patients to optimize appointment availability.
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms according to policy.
• Prepare patient for examination; measures vital signs.
• Assists clinicians with routine procedures and tests; informs patients of pre-visit testing.
• Ensures EMR is updated with recent testing and demographics.
• Keeps patients informed of visit status and delays.
• Reconciles medications and manages refills.
• Assists in resolving patient concerns as appropriate.
• Orders and performs point-of-care testing (waived tests) such as strep, urine, hCG, and glucose.
