Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate or MA Certification.
• Associate degree in medical assisting preferred.
• ACLS may be required based on specialty
• Current BLS from American Heart Association or obtain within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient flow of patients to optimize appointment availability.
• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms per policy.
• Measure vital signs and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests.
• Update EMR with medical information and test results.
• Reconcile medications and manage refills.
• Resolve minor patient concerns and inquiries.
• Order and perform point-of-care tests (waived) such as strep, urine, hCG, glucose.
