Atrius Health in Somerville, MA is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with routine procedures and tests. You will prepare patients, take vitals, and ensure EMR documentation is accurate for timely care.

The role requires a High School diploma or MA certification; preferred:Associate degree in medical assisting, BLS/ACLS as applicable, and EMR experience. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a binding schedule with rotating shifts.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate or Medical Assistant Certification.
• Preferred: Associate degree in medical assisting.
• ACLS may be required based on specialty.
• Current BLS or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year experience in a clinical or customer service setting.
• EMR experience and ability to master the EMR.
• Knowledge of reagent stability and storage.
• Understands the testing procedures and factors influencing results.

Responsabilidades

• Provides efficient flow of patients to optimize appointment availability.
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms according to policy and procedures.
• Prepare patient for examination; measures vital signs (BP, pulse, weight, height).
• Assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and/or additional tests for the department.
• Ensures EMR is updated with medical information and demographics.
• Keeps patients informed of visit status and delays.
• Reconcile medications and set up pending refills.
