Job summary

Atrius Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in Internal Medicine. You will be responsible for preparing patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with exams and point-of-care tests. Strong EMR proficiency and a medical assistant credential are required.

The role emphasizes accurate EMR updates, patient communication, and ensuring smooth clinic flow in a full-time schedule from 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, at 330 Baker Ave, Concord, MA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or MA certification.
• MA certification required; EMR proficiency preferred.
• Preferred: graduate of medical assistant certification program; ACLS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate efficient patient flow and appointment availability.
• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Measure vital signs and prepare patients for examination.
• Assist clinicians with routine procedures and tests.
• Update EMR with lab results, medications, and visits.
• Reconcile medications and manage refills.
• Order and perform point-of-care waived tests (e.g., strep, urine, hCG, glucose).
