Vail Health Hospital is seeking a clinical support assistant to independently assist providers and clinical teams with patient care, record maintenance, and administrative duties that support patient care.

Responsibilities include handling patient calls, portal messages, refill requests, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EHR, while coordinating with the care team and upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA rules and regulations required.
• 2 years of experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred.

Responsabilités

• Fields patient phone calls and voicemails promptly and professionally.
• Addresses patient portal and EHR messages within established timeframe.
• Communicates with providers or team members regarding patient questions.
• Processes refill requests based on workflow and qualifying factors.
• Ensures accuracy and documentation in the patient’s EHR and closes loop with patients.
