Job summary

One Medical in Englewood/Edgewater, NJ seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to provide venipuncture and clinical support, acting as the first patient contact and ensuring a smooth care journey. The role emphasizes compassionate, customer-centric service within a fast-paced primary care environment.

You will work across front desk and lab duties, support providers and virtual care teams, and uphold the One Medical standards of care, privacy, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assistant certification from a recognized certifying body.
• Postsecondary Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of relevant MA or phlebotomy experience outside training.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with computers and multiple software systems.
• Experience collaborating in diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide venipuncture and clinical support to patients.
• Manage patient intake, scheduling, and insurance-related tasks.
• Perform extended scope duties (EKGs, vitals, vaccines, tests) as needed.
• Maintain accurate specimen labeling, handling, and inventory.
• Respond to patient messages and support providers with clerical tasks.
• Handle front desk duties including check-in/check-out and verification of insurance.
• Support team through rounds, huddles, and ad hoc requests.
• Open/close office and maintain a welcoming space for patients and staff.
