Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, med history, screenings and health maintenance.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture and CLIA-waived tests per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely.
• Handles insurance authorizations, scheduling, and referrals.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and proper equipment function.
• Demonstrates teamwork and timely escalation when needed.
